Tucked into the backcountry north of Kanab, Peek-A-Boo is a corridor of deep-red Navajo sandstone that curves and narrows overhead, glowing orange when the midday light drops in. It sits down four miles of deep sand that keeps the tour buses away — so most days, it's just you, your group, and the canyon.
You don't need to be a hiker or a photographer to fall for it. The walk is short and flat, the colors do the work, and your guide fills in the geology and the stories while you wander at your own pace.
The canyon is the destination. Getting there is half the magic.
The slot canyon walk
The heart of the tour: an easy, roughly one-mile walk through Peek-A-Boo's winding red passages. Flat footing, no scrambling, and endless photo stops while your guide points out the best light and angles.

The canyon hides behind four miles of deep sand no rental car can cross. You'll ride out in an open side-by-side with your guide at the wheel — a scenic trip over the coral-pink dunes and open high desert. No experience needed.
